From SMRT: There will be no train services between Woodlands North and Bayshore in both directions to facilitate train service recovery. Free regular and bridging bus services between Woodlands North and Bayshore are available. Commuters are encouraged to take alternative.

For a government so hell-bent against adding a national holiday due to work efficiency / economic reasons, it sure is lenient against public transport breakdowns which affects the bulk of your workforce.
This one harder to prove. So just hide under blanket.
Waited at upper thomson exit 2 for half an hour, there wasnt a single bridging bus, bus stop packed like sardines, gave up and took normal bus
