I'm no longer proud to be a Singaporean
25 and stepping into an unknown job market, where money is so unstable, housing is so expensive, and transport fares are increasing whenever the govt want to... I served ns as combat fit, went through all the shit with my bros in a fairly nice but shag unit. We suffered but loved our time there. I felt proud during my service, but now the realisation hit that we served a country who's leadership doesn't love its citizens first, doesnt appreciate singaporeans. Instead they prefer foreigners more than locals, love the rich from other countries, while its own citizens suffer doing grab deliveries, working overtime, staying in cheap housing. EH ITS OKAY come enjoy some gst vouchers, enjoy some CDC vouchers. But how can we enjoy the loss of identity, where everyday I go work, I dont even hear singlish most of the time now. Singapore may be a country I call home, where the rivers flows or wtv... but I no longer feel proud of calling myself a singaporean, and its diving deeper into a depressing and sad state...
